Nunavut’s attractions include the culture and traditions of Inuit, the simple purity of the spectacular Arctic landscape, and the wonder of our wildlife, on the land and in the sea.
Eco-tourism, sport hunting and fishing, cultural, adventure and education experiences, are key tourism activities in our territory.
It is estimated that 13,000 people visited Nunavut in 2005.
In recent years there has been significant growth in the cruise ship industry. In 2006, 26 sailings visited numerous communities within Nunavut.
